Ashton Ruffin is a 6’4, 187 pound wide receiver out of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Ashton recently attended one of our elite camps at St. Louis Catholic High in Lake Charles, LA. While at the camp, he was invited to our 2026 All-American Football Game that will be held in December. Ashton’s favorite player is his brother, Ellis Stewart, who played in our Bowl game in 2024 and helped his team to victory. With impressive stats of a 22 inch vertical, 400 pound deadlift, 5 second 40 yard dash, and much more, Ashton is ready to take on this his senior season!

What do you like most about your position?
I can create space and I just like going a catching the ball
When did you start playing football?
Around 3, 4 years ago
What made you want to get into football?
I just like the sport, I really like watching the sport, and I also kind of like contact
Describe your playing style?
Mainly just a physical receiver that can just make a play whenever we in need, mostly
What are your goals for this upcoming season?
I would just like to get at least 1000 yards receiving and lead my team all the way to the dome
What are your goals after high school?
I would just like to go play football and reach my limits on whatever I do
Do you have any offers yet
I don’t have any offers but I’ve been getting invites, here and there
What would be your dream college to play at?
Either the university of Houston or UL
Who is your Favorite player?
My favorite player I would have to say my brother, he currently go to Nicholls, he was at University of Arkansas Pine Bluff last year. He was doing a lot of great things over there and he’s just a fun player to watch
What made you pick Gridiron’s camp?
I seen a few Instagram posts and Twitter post about how good the camp was and how it was good for exposure.
How was your experience at the camp
It was a very fun experience, I got to go against a lot of different types DB’s and it was just a very good experience for myself
How has the camp improved your training?
They helped me with how to run a 40 because before I went to that camp I really didn’t know how to run a 40 yard dash the proper way. They taught me how to run it the proper way and I feel like now that they have taught me that way, I can improve on it
What are some of your strengths?
I can make a play whenever
What are some of your weaknesses?
I feel like my route running could get a way lot better and footwork and speed, I feel like that’s some of my weaknesses. But Im steady improving on them so it’s not going to be a weakness too long
What is your favorite part about football
I just like getting into the end zone, hearing the crowd, hearing people I know scream, talk and just helping my teammates do whatever makes them go as far as they want
