The class of 2026 Prospect , Jacorian Newman from Belaire HS out of Baton Rouge, LA shouldn’t be overlooked his production and consistency speaks for itself. Jacorian is a two time All-District champ on both the offensive and defensive line. At 6’2 ,255 pounds he isn’t only bringing size but also brings discipline with a 3.0 GPA. Offensively he has 50 pancake blocks really controlling and dominating the line of scrimmage. Defensively, he adds vaule with 10 solo tackles, 10 assists, five tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. With 5 official offers already on the table he is one to keep eyes out for.
What made you choose football over other sports?
Football has always been there for me growing up and I really enjoy dominating my opponent 6 seconds at a time.
How was the bowl game and your experience?
It was a very nice experience , i wish this experience on everyone. it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
What part of your game are you most proud of right now?
My versatility being able to switch from different positions and to uphold the role of each position i’ve played.
How has football shaped who you are outside of sports?
It taught me how to control my emotions.
Who inspired you to start playing football ?
My brother inspired me to start playing and get into football because he got drafted and i saw how that made my parents feel and i really wanted to make them feel like that again.
What’s a skill you struggled with at first but have improved a lot?
Keeping my feet up and my footwork, feet movement is something i extremely lacked switching to guard but have worked on and highly improved on.
How do you stay locked in during long practices or games?
That’s pretty easy for me because i love football so as soon as Monday hits im already in game day mindset all week and keeping high energy.
What’s something your team does really well together?
We communicate really well on and off the field, and thats something i highly vaule.
What does leadership look like when you’re not the loudest person in the room?
By showing it , body language is highly important and actions , and leading by example.
When your football career is over, what do you hope people remember about how you played?
I hope I am remembered by my sportsmanship and my ablity to push when things get hard and not having a give up mentality.
