SAINTS 17 ATLANTA OFFICIALS 20 Posted on December 11, 2017July 18, 2018 by Kevin Empey Associated Press NFL’s Treatment of Saints in Last 72 Hours Scrutinized. I have held off on writing about the Saints last game as it was one of the most outrageous games, officiating wise, I have ever seen and have been waiting for the dust to settle. There is a lot of talk about scandal and corruption which I will touch on as more facts are released in the January edition of the magazine. For now it will suffice to say that the officials called the Saints for everything from a phantom roughing the passer to wearing white at a funeral while Kamara went out for concussion protocol with an obvious helmet to helmet hit and another player went out with a poke to the eye that the officials should also have seen, but no call! It was recently discovered that one official used to play for the Dirty Birds. There are calls for an investigation and I concur. Among those who see it this way was Sean Payton himself who Tweeted out his own displeasure after finding out about Glazer’s report not long after the story broke. During the Saints loss to the Atlanta Falcons this past Thursday Night, the team was penalized 11 times for 87 yards, 9 of them which gave the Falcons automatic 1st Downs as a result. HMMMM! . . . ..
