Eatherly is a five-star standout from San Antonio, Texas
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane head football coach Willie Fritz added another piece to Tulane’s 2016 puzzle with the addition of long snapper Geron Eatherly.
A 6-1, 225-pound native of San Antonio, Texas, and product of Tom C. Clark High School, Eatherly is rated as a five-star long snapper by ChrisSailerKicking.com and Rubio Long Snapping and is considered the No. 7 long snapper in the nation by ChrisSailerKicking.com.
Eatherly has been a starter for the Cougars since his sophomore season, and also split time at offensive line and defensive end.
Eatherly has earned many honors from his play on the gridiron, filling his shelf with numerous special teams and offensive lineman of the week awards. He was the winner of two Rubio Long Snapping camps and a finalist for the Rubio National Vegas Competition in January and May of 2014. Additionally, he was an Elite Member of the Rubio Long Snapping in 2014, and a top-12 member in 2015.
In the classroom, Eatherly is a two-year member of the academic all-district team.
Eatherly also lettered in soccer, helping the Cougars to a 21-1 record last season, and an 18-3-1 mark this season.
