Southeastern Places Five Games Among Early Southland Television Selections

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana football team is well-represented among the early Southland Conference television selections, which were released by the league office on Monday.

The league released the games set for broadcast through the month of September. All of Southeastern’s contest during that time frame will be available via one of the Southland’s broadcast outlets.

On Sept. 2, the Lions open the 2017 season at UL Lafayette with a 6 p.m. contest. The game will air on ESPN3.

The next two weeks will see Southeastern participate in the first two Southland games broadcast by the conference’s new television partner, Eleven Sports Network. The Sept. 9 7 p.m. home opener versus Bethune-Cookman and the Sept. 16 7:15 p.m. Southland opener at Central Arkansas will both be on Eleven Sports. Both games will also be streamed live on the Southland Digital Network at www.southland.org.

The 7 p.m. home contest versus Lamar on Sept. 23 will provide Southeastern with the opportunity to be featured on the NCAA FCS Football Facebook Live feed. The Southeastern Channel will also stream the game live for free via its web site and will air the game later in the week on tape delay.

Southeastern’s 6:30 p.m. contest at Southland foe Northwestern State on Sept. 30 will be televised live on Cox Sports Television. Outside of the CST viewing area, fans will be able to access the broadcast on ESPN3.

The remainder of the Southland television schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to the television opportunities, all of Southeastern’s games in 2017 will air on the Southeastern Radio Network. KSLU-FM (90.9) will again be the flagship station with Kajun 107.1, The Highway 104.7 FM and WHMD 1400 AM serving as affiliates. Mark Willoughby, Robbie Rhodes and Allen Waddell will handle the call of the games, which can also be heard online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the TuneIn Radio app.
