Rising Stars, WR/DB Chris Sheppard, Ferriday Junior High (Ferriday, LA)

Chris Sheppard is a 14 year old that recently participated in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game for Junior High. Chris is an Athlete who plays multiple positions on offense and defense sides of the ball. During the game Chris came up with a interception of the West QB when being targeted. Chris is in the 8th grade with a gpa of 3.0. Coming in at a height of 5’7 weighing 130lbs.

What or who got you to start playing football?

“My father he started me at the age 5 he told me he didn’t care if I touched the field or not he just wanted me to be around the game so when it was my time I’ll be ahead of my class.”

How long have you been playing football?

“I been playing football for over 9 years now.”

What positions do you play?

“I play multi positions on both sides of the ball I’m more of and Athlete something like Travis Hunter.”

What NFL player do you like watching?

“I enjoy watching guys like Jalen Ramsey, Sauce Gardner, and CeeDee Lamb.”

What is the most challenging aspect of football of football to you?

“Technique and Game Intelligence”

What is a strength that you have in your game?

“I’m good Wr but my strength is when I play DB.”

What is something you’re working on to improve your game?

“My Speed ,Weight, and Awareness are some things I want to work on to be better.”

What are your current football goals?

” Currently to get better every year in the weight room and on the field so I can go D1.”

” LSU, TCU, and Oregon”

What’s your favorite activity outside of football?

” when I’m not doing football I’m playing basketball.”

” It taught me about life, and also taught me theirs no I in team.”
