LSU vs Bama Student Predictions

SEC conference teams Alabama and Louisiana State University are two rival teams that always put on a good show. The rivalry between the two teams began in 1895 as LSU won their first match up 12-6. The rivalry between the two teams became even bigger when Bama hired Nick Saban in 2007.  The competitiveness between both teams during every game has become more and more intense throughout the years. This game has given much entertainment to those who love college football. The annual match-up between the two teams has always been highly anticipated and fun for all fans to come and watch. Louisiana is a state known for traditions, and one contribution is college football on a Saturday night. Night games are a big part of the tradition and LSU believed in giving fans the opportunity to come out and enjoy the game atmosphere, and see their Tigers play under the lights. The fans make Saturday night in Tiger Stadium a night to remember as the team feeds off the energy that the crowd brings to every game.

The LSU Tigers have had one of their best seasons this year and have only lost one game and that was against the Florida Gators (27-19), just a few weeks ago. That would make their overall record 7-1 and their conference record 4-1. The Alabama Crimson Tide has an overall record of 8-0 and a conference record of 5-0. Alabama has had control of the annual series between the two teams with around 50 wins, 25 losses and 5 ties against the Tigers. In the year 2011 when LSU and Bama played against each other the game went into overtime, and LSU ended up winning 9-6 and ever since that game Bama hasn’t lost a game against LSU again. Despite Alabama’s seven year winning streak the Tigers have always been ready to challenge the Crimson Tide. This weekend the LSU Tigers will compete against the Crimson Tide and this will be one of the biggest games for the Tigers this year. Family and fans on both teams will be coming to watch.

Some of the biggest LSU fans out there are the students on LSU’s campus who have the loudest student section there is in college football. Many students are excited about the game this weekend and there are several students who believe that LSU will come out with the victory this weekend.  These fans bleed purple and gold and have been to every home game this season.  As I walked around campus it was easy to see the LSU spirit flowing around. I came across Dance Marathon at LSU, and decided to stop and ask them about their prediction and how they felt about the season so far. These LSU fans talked about how excited they are about the game this weekend, and also how surprised and also impressed they are by the boys and their performance. One specific prediction that was given was 44-17 LSU. It is no surprise that these students are from Louisiana, and have grown up on gameday traditions.  Some have said that LSU football has always been something they have grown up with.  Being from Louisiana is something they take pride in and they know this will be one game to remember. This sold out game will have the whole city of Baton Rouge full of excited fans ready to fill up the stands. They will be going straight from tailgating to the game, to witness what will be a great game some even watching the game at home. Football is everything to Louisiana, and will always be a huge part of the culture down South.

This weekend will definitely be an exciting one in Baton Rouge, and we know the stands will be full of Tiger fans screaming and cheering on their Tigers. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
