Indiana’s Top Player Damien Shanklin Commits To LSU

LSU’s recruiting in the trenches continues to stay hot as the Tigers get another commitment and this time, arguably its biggest one to date as Warren Central High School four star 2025 defensive end Damien Shanklin announced his commitment to the Tigers.

Shanklin chose the Tigers over Alabama and Ohio State. This is a huge pickup for LSU as the 6’5, 235 pound pass rusher is a consensus four star prospect that is a Top 100 player and a Top 10 pass rusher in the nation. The Indianapolis, Indiana native is also the number one player in the state as well after having 66 tackles, 17 TFLs, 5 sacks, and an interception as a junior.

Leading the recruitment is defensive ends coach Kevin Peoples and defensive line coach Bo Davis, who are right now on a trend, after getting commitments from three defensive linemen the last two days.

Overall, this is the 15th commitment in the 2025 class that is a Top 5 recruiting class according to On3. Shanklin joins LaJesse Harrold as the two defensive end commits in the class.

The Bayou Bengals are continuing to piece together one of the best classes in program history with plenty of more top LSU targets announcing their decisions. Make sure to keep up to date with everything to date at www.gridironfootballusa.com!
