Jakendrick Davis is a student-athlete from North Webster High School who is part of the Class of 2029 and recently attended the Neville Elite Camp. What made you start playing football?
“People telling me that I was big for nothing and I needed to use my size as an advantage.”
How has football shaped your plans for the future?
” Football has shaped my plans in a good way. I see football carrying me all the way.”
What was your favorite drill?
” My favorite drill was the shuttle drill. “
What skill do you think is most important for your position?
” The most important skill for my position is having quick feet and aggressive hands.”
How do you handle pressure during critical moments in a game?
” I handle critical moments well. I pay attention to detail and I make sure everything is done correctly.”
What’s the best advice a coach or teammate has given you?
” The best advice a coach has given me is separating myself from others. Being better than the next person beside me.”
What are your biggest strengths?
” My biggest strength is having a strong strike when I shoot my hands.”
How do you balance football with schoolwork and other activites?
” Balancing football, schoolwork and other activities is easy. I make sure to have everything done and be an excellent student.”
How important is academics to you as a student athlete?
” Academics as a student athlete is very important because grades are everything. If you don’t have good grades, there’s no point of thinking about recruiting.”
