DITR-Nate Johnson

Nate Johnson is a 5’11” 180 lbs safety who plays for Ruston High School in Ruston, Louisiana. Nate recently picked up his first scholarship offer from Mississippi Valley State University. He runs a 4.58 40 yard dash, which pops up on film. He has a high football IQ, which helps him make big plays for the Bearcats. He can read the quarterback well and is always making a play on defense. Check out our Q&A below!

When do you start playing football?

I started in kindergarten playing flag and then transitioned to pads in 3rd grade

What is your favorite thing about playing football?

The brotherhood. It takes everyone to win

How much you have to stay together as a team

What has been your favorite football memory?

Playing in the state championship game last year against Destrehan

What sports do you play outside of football?

I used to run track and play basketball but now I just focus on football

My dad

How do you balance school and football?

It’s hard but the most important thing is managing my time wisely

How do you prepare for a game?

Lots and lots of film and scout team along with going over the game plan with my coaches and teammates

Chicken, Mac & Cheese and Green Beans
