DITR-Marcus Torres

Marcus Torres is a 5’9″ 160 lbs wide receiver for Pebble Hills High School in El Paso, Texas. The son of head coach Mark Torres, Marcus has been described as someone who is dependable for any team. Playing slot receiver and returner, Marcus makes an impact at multiple levels on the field. He had 44 receptions last season for 718 yards and added in 9 total touchdowns for the Spartans. He runs a 4.7 40 yard dash along with a 4.33 shuttle time and a 31″ vertical. Check out our Q&A below!

Winning the game, I’m a winner and I don’t like to lose

Scoring 2 touchdowns against Odessa Permian in the playoffs

I’m on the varsity soccer team

How do you balance school and football?

School is always first. I go to practice right after school, and after practice get school done so I can watch some film

How do you prepare yourself for a game?

I listen to a lot of music, it puts me in the zone. I also like to get a good meal in before the game

What is your favorite pregame meal?

4 piece combo from Canes with a lemonade

What is the best aspect of your game?

My route-running or the way I can catch the ball

What separates you from others?

My character and the way I can lead my team through my energy

What is your definition of being a good teammate?

Putting my teammates first. I will make the play to help my team win instead of doing something selfish
