Osvaldo Razo is a student-athlete at Amite High as part of the class of 2026. Osvaldo stands tall at 5’10 and weighs 190lbs. In the classroom, he set the bar high with a 3.7 GPA. The way he reads the ball before the snap is phenomenal. He refines the defense’s advantages and corrects any errors made. In addition to forcing mistakes, he can pressure the passer, enter passing lanes, and stop runs while keeping an eye on the plays and schemes around him. At the camp, he showed off his ability to move. This kid will develop into something extraordinary.
What are some things you have overcome in life?
“One thing I have overcome in life would be my grandma passing away because when she passed I felt broken I stayed with her since I was born and when she passed I didn’t know what to do all I did was workout and play football I was a O lineman before she passed and after she passed I lifted lots and weights to get rid of the pain and turned into a linebacke.”
What are your biggest accomplishments?
“My Biggest accomplishments for myself would be being on Honor Roll my whole life Also Being the starting linebacker my Sophomore year and Being A great Big Brother.”
What player do you compare yourself to and why?
“I Compare Myself To Ivan Pace and Devin White because they are both aggressive and athletic I fell like I play alike like them.Also I compare myself to them because I study how they play and try to play like them.”
What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?
“My plans once I’m done with football would be have fun with my family spend lots of time with them.But after I’m done with my football career I would still want to be around football I would become a coach.”
What are some goals you have for yourself, and your team next season?
“My goals for my Team would be Too Make it to New Orleans to play in the state championship and win it all.My personal goal is to lead the team in tackles.”
What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?
“What I like about the sport football is the Hitting I love it my family loves it we watch football all year around Monday Thursday Saturdays and Sundays football is life to me.”
What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?
“A interesting fact about me outside of football would be I’m very smart I try my hardest on every assignments my teachers give me I currently have a 3.7.”
what is your dream school?
“My dream school is The Texas Longhorns.”
what position do you enjoy playing the most and why?
“The position I enjoy playing the most is linebacker I really like hitting people making them mad I also love making all the calls make sure the defense is lined up right I love it a lot.”
What are some ways your coaches have helped you?
“Some ways my coaches helped me getting better are getting better footwork,stopping the run,reading my keys.But the coach that helped me the most Would be Coach E at Amite High he helped me drop into coverage better and understand everything I have to know when I’m dropping in coverage.”
