DITR: DaSean Golmond, Denham Springs (Denham Springs, Louisiana)

DaSean Golmond is a 6’0 185 Athlete in the class of 2026. He’s a dual athlete playing football and basketball. He displays amazing footwork while running routes, confusing defenders and creating space when necessary. The combination speed, separation, and hands makes him a threat. As a sophomore he plays above average standing at 6’0 with room to grow. Once he receives the ball in open space he makes defenders miss effortlessly. He’s a very athletic player who doesn’t only rely speed. Next season he’s a player to have on your radar. He will put everyone on notice.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

“I’ve overcome a lot of things, first when i was four, the biggest thing that a lot of people don’t do, Start playing. As a kid , you get scared and nervous and a lot chicken out , i’m glad i overcame that.”

What are your biggest accomplishments?

“I feel that my biggest accomplishment was in basketball. First time dunking on somebody.”

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

“I wanna start a business . Don’t really got too much ideas right now but i know im capable of it.”

What are some goals you have for yourself, and your team next season?

“Next Season, Junior season. I’m tryna go all the way. We got some dudes on our squad and my brother running the team at the Q, we ain’t gon be able to be messed with.”

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

“I like basketball because basketball is art, elegance . Football- total opposite. That’s when you clinch your teeth and get gritty. I get to take some anger out as well. I like blocking and catching passes. Celebrating with my guys after scoring is one of the feelings you can have.”

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

“A fun fact about me is that I have a twin brother. Yep he play football and basketball just like me. He a dog. Best Quarterback in 2026 if you ask me. Check his highlights.”

what is your dream school?

My dream school is somewhere in state. I obviously wanna stay at home , but it may not be in Gods plan. Ima be wherever he takes me.

what position do you enjoy playing the most and why?

“I love receiving. I got the legs and height for it. Ain’t nothing better than a 50/50 jump ball. I always feel when i’m in the area tho, It’s 75/25.”

What are some ways your coaches have helped you?

“All my coaches from 4 years old to now been great mentors . Learned a lotta life skills from all of them.”
