Colten is a a senior defensive end with the class of 2025. He is 6’2, 243 pounds and a huge addition to his team. He has racked up quite the resume in his 3 years playing for Jena. He was named to the 2022 All-District DL Second team and the was awarded first team all district in 2023. Also in 2023 he was awarded All-Cenla Honorable Mention, Jena Giant Award, and the LSL All-State Second team. He went on to say how in the 2023 season, him and his team took the Giants to the third round of playoffs. This is the furthest they have gotten in school history. Last season he has 32 solo tackles, 31 tackles with assist, 8 TFL and 3 sacks. He currently has an offer to Louisiana Christian University.
To get to know Colten a little better, he answered some questions about himself.
What made you want to play football?
“I’ve always watched it since I was a little kid but the brotherhood that football brings to everyone on the team has always made me want to play football more.”
Who is someone you look up to and why?
”My father because he played at our highschool played a similar position to me.”
What is your favorite football memory?
”When we were playing Leesville we allowed them to score a touchdown and they needed a 2 point conversion and we made the stop to win the game.”
What are some goals for the upcoming season? Team wise and personal wise.
”To make it to the dome and make all state”
