Tell me about yourself.

I’m very smart. I’m originally from Newnan, Georgia and I moved to Tennessee in 2018 from California.

How does it feel to know you are the number 1 player is Tennessee?

It feels great and it’s a blessing. I know I’m not done yet. People expect me to be cocky, but I put all of that aside and focus on life.

How do you prepare for football?

I do most of my training after the season, so I don’t injure myself.

How did you start playing football?

I started playing when I first came to Tennessee. I didn’t think I would play, but my brother, Elijah Herring, who is committed to the University of Tennessee, told me I would be good at it. The second year I played, it really clicked for me.

How would you describe your style of play?

I play long. I’m elusive and fast to the ball. People can’t guard me, but I can play any position my coach puts me.

What do you believe are your greatest strengths?

Getting off blocks, my speed, and overall being a leader.

What is one of your biggest goals for this football season?

To win state.

In your career of football so far, what has been a defining moment for you?

I don’t think I’ve had one yet. I’m still going through the process of finding a defining moment for me.

What do you like most about football?

Off the field, my teammates and I have a strong bond and it translates over to the field.

What motivates you to keep moving forward?

My family, I just want to see the smiles on their faces when I make it big.
