DITR: ATH Abreon Curry, Webster Jr High (Minden, LA)

Abreon Curry is a 5’5, 115lb. athlete that is in his 8th grade year at Webster Jr High in Minden, Louisiana. Abreon is an amazing all-around football player and plays positions on both sides of the field as a wide receiver, cornerback, and safety. Throughout this season, Abreon has averaged 912 yards, completed 6 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 1 force fumble, and 34 catches as a 8th grader. Abreon is a very intelligent student as well with a 3.6 GPA. In summary, Abreon is an interesting student-athlete who I believe has a bright future ahead of himself.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

Some things I had to overcome was family deaths but other than that, everything has been fine in life and I am continuing to work hard.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment was being an All-American MVP.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

I compare myself to Odell Beckham Jr. and Lajarius Sneed because of their explosiveness and footwork.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

My plans after football is to become a professional fisherman and eventually get to the point where I will be able to retire.

How did it feel to participate in the camp and how was it significant to you?

I liked the way the coaches and staff walked us through everything and coached us throughout the camp.

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

I like the excitement surrounding the sport because not only do I enjoy playing it but it also allows me to get away from the wrong crowd.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

I like to fish and hunt with my family and friends.

What is your dream college to play for?

My dream college to play for would be the Oregon Ducks.
