How is your game different than everyone else’s at your position?

I play more physical than other tight ends, I feel like I play with an edge. I’m always out there wanting to hit somebody. My teammates look up to me and see that I go out there and I want to hit someone than they feed off of that.

At what age did you begin playing football and what motivated you to play this sport?

I’ve been playing since I was about 4 or 5. My dad was always my coach for sports and was always there for me to let me do what I wanted. He saw that I loved football and baseball.

Do you play any other sports?

Not anymore, I stopped playing baseball my sophomore year.

What are some hobbies you have outside of sports?

I like hanging out with my friends. On the weekends we go get lunch, workout and keep in touch. I play video games here and there, but it’s not like I can always play them because of homework and football. I have a little brother who’s 11 now, so I sometimes have to take care of him and get food and take him places because I’m driving now.

What’s been the highlight of your football career?

That’s a tough one. Being around my teammates every day and making relationships with guys I didn’t even know before and now calling them my brothers. I didn’t even know half of these guys before the season and now they’re my best friends.

What’s your favorite thing about your position?

Being able to run, catch the football, and block. Getting physical in the box and going out to hit linebackers.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you as a player?

Fun to be around. Willing to work hard. Resilient.

How do you fix your weaknesses on the field?

Get bigger and stronger. I’m not as big and strong as I want to be. I need to put more weight on.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Louisiana?

Being out there with my teammates every day and working towards the same goal. Being best friends with the guys other there and hitting people. I like going out on the field and hitting somebody and running off and the guys hyping me up saying, “yeah Logan.”

How do you prepare for an upcoming game?

Going over my assignments and getting in that game-mindset. Getting out there and prepare to destroy somebody every play.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Graduating somewhere in college and getting a degree in something that I enjoy. Ideally, I see myself playing football and I know that I have to keep working.

What would you like to study in college?

Something to do with mechanical engineering. I like a few different types of engineering. Maybe medicine too but that would be a long time in college but I’m weighing my options.

What would you tell younger players who want to play high school football one day?

Start putting weight on at a young age. Eat the meals you’re supposed to eat. For my little brother, I tell him to eat and do pushups and that all the other kids are going to be just as big and strong as you, your going to have to be better them.

How have you stayed in shape since last season?

I bulked up about 30 pounds in the off season and I don’t feel slower. Waking up and eating four meals a day also. One of my close friends got a weight set before this stuff started to happen. I started to workout over there with his free weights. I also did a lot of footwork this summer.

What motivates you the most?

My pride for myself motivates me and keeping a reputation of myself higher than that of others. My parents and all the stuff that they’ve given me and all the stuff that I have motivates me. Having parents that support me and me being blessed motivates me.
