Diamond in the Rough: Dalton Clark

Dalton Clark is a 6’3 300lbs offensive line that plays both right tackle and right guard at Captain Shreve in Shreveport, Louisiana. Clark can bench 250, squat 405, and cling 275.

How long have you been playing football and what do you love about football?

I started playing football when I was five and I like playing football because it’s a team and all in all I like playing with others.

What is something you have learned while playing football?

Leadership because since I’ve been in high school and because I am a big part of our offensive line I’ve been looked at as a leader.

Who are some of your biggest influences?

My dad because he always encourages me everyday.

What made you decide to play on the o-line?

My size and the coaching staff thought that I would be better on the offensive line.

What are your strengths on the field?

Being a leader and I like to help others achieve their goals.

What would college coaches be most impressed about you?

My leadership.

What have you been focusing on trying to get better at?

I have been trying to get stronger so that I can become a better football player.

What did you think about the Louisiana Gridiron Football bowl game you played in recently?

It was a great experience it really opened my eyes to how many other athletes are out their trying to achieve the same goal.
