BREAKING NEWS: Jennings High School (Jennings, LA) RB Re’John Zeno Commits To 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

After posting our first Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game Commitment the other day in Bunkie High School (Bunkie, LA) offensive lineman JD Smith, we have our second official announcement as one of the best running backs in the state of Louisiana has committed to play in this year’s All-Star Game in Jennings High School (Jennings, LA) running back Re’John Zeno.

In a year that is loaded at the running back position for the state of Louisiana, Zeno has shown that he should be in the conversation. Playing for a program that has known to produce some great running backs in the past including the Etienne brothers in Travis and Trevor, Zeno continues to carry on that tradition.

As the bellcow running back for the Bulldogs, the 5’9, 190 pound running back is coming off a great junior campaign in which he made 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Parish, and 1st Team All-State. The District Offensive MVP ran for 1,900 yards and 21 touchdowns last season while leading the Bulldogs to a Quarterfinal appearance.

After rushing for 1,900 yards as a junior and rushing for 1,000 yards as a sophomore, Zeno’s goal is to become the first 2,000 yard rusher in a season by a Jennings running back since Trevor Etienne. Nicknamed “2Quick”, Zeno lived up to that nickname at our Gridiron Football Elite Camp in Eunice last year when he ran the camp’s fastest 40 (4.53) and shuttle (4.18). That camp performance earned him an offer to play in this year’s All-American Bowl Game.

As of now, Re’John Zeno has received two collegiate offers from Graceland University and Prairie View A&M and wants to add more to his collection when he plays this season and in front of college coaches at the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on December 30th.

“It means a lot to me to be able to play inside the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game because playing inside a bowl game has been one of my biggest dreams. The biggest thing I want to accomplish is to win a ring and become known worldwide for my athletic ability!”
