Johnathan Daniels of MSA East Academy / East Iberville High School is the definition of a student-athlete, bringing toughness in the trenches and excellence in the classroom to this year’s Gridiron Football All-American Bowl. Measuring in at 6’0 and 230 pounds, Daniels plays both offensive and defensive line, providing versatility, physicality, and leadership for his program. His impact on the field has earned him All-District and All-Parish honors, recognition that reflects his consistency, effort, and importance to his team on both sides of the ball.
As a lineman, Daniels thrives on physical football. He plays with strong leverage, active hands, and a relentless motor, traits that allow him to compete effectively against larger opponents. On the offensive line, he brings a tough, disciplined approach—firing off the ball, engaging defenders, and working to finish blocks through the whistle. Defensively, Daniels uses that same physicality and awareness to clog running lanes, fight through contact, and disrupt plays at the line of scrimmage. His ability to contribute in multiple roles speaks to his football IQ and coachability, making him a valuable asset in any scheme.

He is a Silver and Platinum Honor Roll student and a National Senior Beta Club member, where he serves as outgoing Vice President and remains an active member. Daniels is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), further underscoring his academic achievement.
Daniels’ academic rigor is equally impressive. He is enrolled in Dual Enrollment courses while maintaining a schedule filled with AP Honors classes, demonstrating discipline, time management, and a strong commitment to his future. Balancing advanced academics with the physical demands of football is no small task, and Daniels handles both with maturity and focus.

This is a player who was not afraid to line up against anyone this year. When asked what game he was looking forward to the most during this season he answered with:
All of them.
Yet, more importantly when asked what would make it a successful season for him he said:
My main goal is to help the younger class. We have a lot of good young kids and I want to help them grow.
This year, the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game will be bigger and better than ever this year as the senior game on December 30th will have not one, but two full games including an extra live 15 minutes for the Gridiron Football Bowl Game Championship!
