2. Plaquemine 2025 QB Nico Victorian: 19,040 votes

When one talks about efficient and outstanding quarterback play, one should look at Nico Victorian’s performance last week from Plaquemine High School. The Green Devils’ senior signal caller was nearly perfect in the team’s 62-0 shutout victory over Belaire as he completed 11 of 14 passes for 250 yards and 5 TDs. Victorian had more touchdown throws than incompletions, which is all you can ask for as a a quarterback. Leading the team as one of the top quarterbacks in the Baton Rouge area, Nico and the Green Devils are ever dangerous for a district title and a deep playoff run.

5. Pineville 2026 RB Ayden Tate: 2,540 votes

Pineville High School 2026 RB Ayden Tate was the workhorse for the Rebels in a 39-36 win over Tioga. Tate played a huge factor for the Rebels to start the season at 2-1 with 37 carries for 412 yards and 4 TDs. Accounting for 442 all-purpose yards and 4 TDs is impressive from a quarterback standpoint, but to put those type of numbers up for a running back is really astonishing.

6. Elgin (TX) 2025 ATH Jalen Owens: 1,900 votes

Elgin High School (TX) 2025 ATH Jalen Owens did a little bit of everything in the team’s 50-26 win over Austin McCallum as he had 3 catches for 116 yards and 3 TDs as a receiver, completed 3 of 5 passes for 50 yards and 2 TDs as a passer, had 5 carries for 67 yards as a runner, and even punted as he had 2 punts for 76 yards including 1 inside the 5 yard line. With that versatility, it would not be surprising if the UTSA baseball commit also drove the bus or handed out the water.

7. LaGrange 2028 WR/DB Landon Mitchell: 1,876 votes

LaGrange High School 2028 WR/DB Landon Mitchell also was a ball magnet in the Gators’ 20-14 win over Slaughter Charter and they needed each of those big plays as the talented freshman two way player finished the contest with 3 INTs, 3 tackles, and 2 TFLs.

The former Gridiron Football Player of the Week did Chad Elzy like things in the team’s 56-12 win over St. Thomas Aquinas as he only carried the ball 5 times, but ran for 4 TDs and 205 yards on those attempts. Talk about an impressive yards per carry average. Elzy averaged at least 40 yards per attempt each time he touched the football.

Hawley High School (TX) 2027 WR Camden Ables put on a receiving clinic in a 54-21 win over De Leon with 6 catches for 264 yards and 4 TDs. Head Coach Mitch Ables’ son Camden is a really talented prospect as he is already 6’4, 215 pounds going into his sophomore year. He made the most of his opportunities in the game by averaging a whopping 44 yards per catch. With his brother Keagan Ables throwing the pigskin, the Ables connection is going to be a deadly one for the Bearcats this year.

11. Vermilion Catholic 2025 QB Jonathan Dartez: 87 votes
