Here’s my Interview with Javon Vital!

What got you into football?

Well I wasn’t really playing football at first. I was playing baseball and then, one of my rec coaches seen me playing baseball and he was like “well you could play football.”…Then I went out on the football field and I was good at it. So I kept playing, and playing, and playing and then I got better.

Was there a certain play or moment that made you pick your position?

I was the quarterback for my little league team. Then I came to Hamilton and I threw a ball one time and after that, I became the quarterback.

Was there a player you tried to emulate?

Everybody call me Lamar Jackson. A little Mike Vick, so I watch those guys and try to study their game and watch what they do on the field.

What’s your strongest attribute on the field?

Just knowing where coverages are, where people at, and where to go with the ball. And, timing how to make the right decision with the ball in big time moments.

What differentiates you?

I really can do everything. I can run routes, I can run the ball, I can catch, kickoff, punt…I can do a lot of stuff.

Dream football college?

LSU cause I’m from Louisiana

Dream NFL teammate?

My brother

Underappreciated part of football?

Just, how the game loves us back

Favorite part of football?

Just going out there and competing every night, playing against the opponent. And knowing that everyone is coming for me cause I’m supposed to be the highly recruited kid, and going out there and competing against people that, want to go against me and beat me. And playing to a higher standard and helping my team win, that’s big time for me.
