Here’s my interview with Brenton below!

What got you into football?

I was on the tv every Saturday and Sunday growing up and I wanted to be a part of that so, I started playing flag and one thing led to another and I’m here now and I’ve loved it since.

Was there a play or moment that made you pick your position?

No, but my dad used to watch a lot of Reggie Bush so after watching him I knew I wanted to be a running back and I wanted the ball in my hands.

Was there a player you tried emulate?

Definitely Saquon Barkley, always growing up to right now. It’s always been Saquon Barkley, just trying to be an all around running back and do as much as I can other than run the ball.

What differentiates you?

I’m versatile, a lot of players play one position and other than that you can’t really use them that much on the field. I can play anywhere on the field I can catch the ball at running back, I’m gonna block at running back and I’d use the same amount of energy as if I had the ball. No matter what I’m doing on the field I’m always gonna give my all and I’m always gonna make a difference.

Dream football college?

UCLA, Being from California that was always my school and I just love it there so UCLA definitely.

Favorite football move?

I’d definitely say a stiff-arm. Because when you stiff-arm it makes you feel like a superhero. You get your whole team excited too on the sidelines so you can’t go wrong with it.

What’s an underappreciated part about football?

I feel like the underappreciated part is the bond that you build with your teammates. I feel like a lot of people especially the higher the level just see touchdowns, and yards, and championships. But they don’t realize all the hard work that you and your brothers go through in the summer and the spring in the weight room. So, I just feel like it’s underrated because without that the game wouldn’t be loved as much as it is.

Dream NFL teammate?

I’d have to go with Jahmyr Gibbs. And I say that because he works good with another running back and to practice and play with him would just make me so much better and turn me up so much more. So, I definitely want to play with Jahmyr Gibbs.

Favorite part about football?

I’d say scoring touchdowns. You work all week to win games and all that but, each touchdown just feels like you’ve put in so much work and so much time throughout that week and you’re putting it all in that one play. So, to score a touchdown just feels like not only are you achieving a goal for yourself but, for the entire offense and the entire team. Because, it’s one step closer to a win, one step closer to a state championship, one step closer to everything.

Favorite football movie?

It used to be Remember the Titans but, the last two years it switched to Friday Night Lights. You can’t go wrong with that movie it’s a little sad, a little funny and, it makes you want to go out and play football and hit somebody.
