Tony Huey Runs Wild Over Episcopal

Baton Rouge, LA- The Tigers were first on the board as they were consistent with running the ball with Tony Huey. It was hard-nosed running for Huey as the Episcopal Knights barely gave him any yards, as he had to work for every inch. Dunham would go up 7-0 in the 1st Quarter.

Later on in the 2nd Quarter, Mike Williams found Josh Matthews on a 51-yard pass to put the Tigers deep into oppositional territory. Williams then threw an under screen pass to Tony Huey for a 25-yard touchdown reception. Huey’s 2nd touchdown of the night put the Tigers ahead 14-0.

It was tough for the Knights on the offensive front as they struggled to generate any momentum in the 1st half. The defensive unit also struggled to contain Mike Williams as he continued to scramble out of the pocket to find receivers open. He found Matthews on another 35-yard pass before he hooked up with Harris McKay on the 18-yard touchdown pass. The Tigers go 21-0 heading into halftime.

Mike Williams completely dominated the Knights’ defense. Coming out of halftime, Williams threw a beautiful 48-yard lob pass to EJ Hitchens. Shortly afterwards, Williams took it to the house for a 25-yard rushing touchdown. The Tigers add to the scoreboard 28-0.

Episcopal finally found some momentum late in the 3rd Quarter after Caden Dickenson caught a 43-yard touchdown. Dickenson caught the ball around three defenders and somehow bounced his way out of the collision and ran it in for a touchdown. The Tigers still hold a 28-7 lead.

Caden Dickenson would score his 2nd touchdown of the night after Episcopal recovered a fumble deep in Tiger territory. Dunham made a nice stand but an Unsportsmanlike Conduct call would give Episcopal another opportunity at the goal line. The Knights narrow the lead to 28-14.

The Tigers responded with a huge run by Tony Huey for a 69-yard rushing touchdown. On a 2nd & 4, Huey busted through the line with no one in sight to bring him down. Dunham would expand the lead to 35-14 in the 4th Quarter.

Dunham didn’t slow down as they took the ball on their next drive all the way down to the end zone. Tony Huey was the Tiger to score on a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Huey would score his 4th touchdown of the night with three of them as a rushing a touchdown. Dunham would go on to win the game 42-14.
