St. Michael capitalizes on sea of penalties and errors from Istrouma

The Istrouma Indians head on the road the first time this year, and they travel to Olympia Field to take on the St. Michael Warriors. As the title says the Istrouma Indians could not get anything clicking on offense mostly due the large amount of penalties they earned, no exact number of penalties but close to the twenty range.

To start the game, Istrouma first drive starting in the worst possible way, by having a high snap and allowing St. Michael to recover the ball deep inside Istrouma territory. St. Michael used this great opportunity to pound in the ball into the end zone, this the only points scored on the night. The whole night was Istrouma either shooting them in the foot with penalties to kill drives, or St. Michael dominating the time of possession. The defense from Istrouma though did have the bend don’t break mentality, even though the time of possession was very lopsided the Indians defense did not allow the Warriors to get into their end zone. Both teams each had an interception, but the Indians had four fumbles that all but one got recovered by Istrouma. St. Michael also had some errors as well when it came to missing a field goal, or fumbling the ball while they were pushing the ball down the field. The final score being 7-0 St. Michael.
