Just in! Take a peek at the newest Rising Star, Karson Crochet, class of ’30! Karson demonstrated his football talent at the Gridiron Elite Camp located in Lake Charles, La. Karson is 5’8″, weighing in at 225 lbs, can bench up to 135 lbs, and squat 235 lbs. His 40 yd dash was clocked at 6.31, and his shuttle was 5.56. Karson’s broad jump was a 5′.9. These qualities have led Karson to become the latest Rising Star.

What did you look forward to most at the camp?
“The 1 on 1’s.”
What was your favorite drill?
“The 40 yd dash.”
What did you like about the camp?
“I liked the staff, they were really cool and helpful.”
What skills do you think you performed well?
“My overall technique was good.”
Do you think you performed at your best?
“Yes, I do.”
If you could have done something differently, what would it have been?
“Participated in more 1 on 1 reps.”
Are there any specific skills you want to improve?
“My rip.”
What is your biggest strength?
“Bull Rushing.”
Why did you choose our camp over others?
“I felt like it would be good, I have been following you all for a while now.”
What are your goals with football?
“To be able to put my last name on a jersey, maybe even play for LSU one day.”
Do you have a role model?
“My dad, he leads a good example and is always there for me.”
Why do you play football?
“I like the discipline you get from it, and I just love the sport.”
Did you learn any important lessons at the camp?
“Even though I may be strong, I am not always the strongest on the field.”
If you could offer one piece of advice for future players coming to our camp, what would it be?
“That nothing else matters as long as you can win the 1 on 1’s.”
