Nation’s #1 QB Bryce Underwood Commits To LSU

After producing two Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks in a time span of five years, it was only a time that the nation’s top signal callers will be fleeting to Baton Rouge to develop their talents in what is looking like QBU. After getting a commit already from the number one running back in the class in Harlem Berry and the number one running back in the class in Dakorien Moore, the LSU Tigers’ 2025 class continues to roll as they got not only the number one quarterback in the class, but perhaps the number one overall player in the class in five star Belleville High School (Belleville, Michigan) QB Bryce Underwood, who chose the Tigers over Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, and Penn State.

The 6’4, 215 pound gunslinger can do it all as the Michigan native has a rocket arm and can make all the throws, but he has the ability to move within the pocket and outside the pocket as he has the legs to make big runs as well. As a three year starter for the Tigers, the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year will end up being one of the greatest prep players in the history of the state. The 5 star signee and future LSU Tiger led his team to two undefeated state championships as a freshman and sophomore while also leading his team to a third straight state championship appearance as a junior. Through three years, Underwood has put up some gaudy numbers that include 8,979 passing yards and 117 touchdowns.

Everybody in the country was looking to grab the star quarterback and he was getting heavily pursued by LSU as Underwood took several visits this season including a memorable in-game visit against Auburn. Quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has worked extremely hard to win over Bryce Underwood and to combine that with how he has developed a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback in Jayden Daniels while also adding some of the best skill talent in the nation for the 2025 class, all the signs were certainly pointing towards the Michigan native to take his talents down south to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

More LSU coverage and reactions will be posted at www.gridironfootballusa.com next week after our Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game coverage as I will recap what has been a wild, crazy start to the LSU offseason!
