DITR : DL Reshad Sterling Lutcher High School (Lutcher , Louisisana)

Reshad Sterling, a rising star at Lutcher High School, represents the class of 2025 with his imposing presence on the field. Standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 235 pounds, Reshad made a significant impact this past season, tallying impressive defensive statistics. In just 8 games, he recorded 58 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss (TFLs), 10 sacks, and 10 hurries.Upon reviewing his film, Reshad’s pass-rushing prowess immediately stands out. His explosive initial burst off the line allows him to gain an advantage over blockers, using his quickness to swiftly navigate through the line and disrupt plays in the backfield. His ability to shed blockers with ease showcases his strength and agility, making him a formidable force for opposing offenses to contend with. Reshad Sterling’s exceptional skills have not gone unnoticed, as he has committed to the University of Houston to continue his football journey. ” I’ve conquered the tendency to be swayed by outside opinions or judgments about me.”

What are your biggest accomplishments?

” I’ve focused on becoming a better learner and transitioning into a genuine leader, one who leads by example and avoids making frequent mistakes..”

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

” I compare myself to Micah Parsons because of his relentless pursuit of the quarterback and the aggressive attitude he brings to the game.”

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

” I plan to pursue coaching after my football career, aiming to pass on the knowledge and skills I’ve gained and mentor others in the same way I was taught.”

What are some goals you have for yourself, and your team next season?

“ My personal goal is to consistently dominate my opponents and make impactful plays on the field. As for the team, our aim is to win another State Championship and continue to grow as individuals, both on and off the field, becoming better young men in the process.”

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

“ Football is more than just a game to me; it’s a passion and a pathway to a better future. Without football, I believe life would be much more challenging, especially in terms of supporting my family.”

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

“Outside of football, I enjoy clowning around and watching other sports games. It’s a fun way for me to unwind and enjoy different types of competition.”

What position do you enjoy playing the most and why?

” Defensive Line because I’ve been playing it my whole life and I love being able to tackle people.”

What are some ways your coaches have helped you?

” My coaches have been instrumental in my growth, not just as a player, but as a person. They’ve provided guidance and support both on and off the field, helping me develop important life skills and values. Their mentorship has played a crucial role in shaping me into the individual I am today.”

What colleges have you received any offers or interest from if any and what is your dream college to play for?

” I’m a University of Houston Commit, but I have received offers from, Vanderbilt, Tulane, Grambling, Houston, Nicholls State, Texas State, La Tech, UCF, ULL, Arkansas State, ULM.”

What makes you stand out from other players?

” What sets me apart from other players is the relentless effort I put in every day, both on and off the field. My work ethic and attitude toward the game are unparalleled, as I consistently strive to improve and give my all in every aspect of the game.”
