Michael is going to be a senior this upcoming season and plays a crucial role for the Wildcats. He plays center/guard, weighing 270 pounds at 6’1. This will be his third year starting for the Wildcats. During his time at Destrehan he has received All-District 2nd team honors and won a state championship with his team in 2022. Last season he let up zero sacks. He currently has offers to play at Centenary College, Grinnell College, Millsaps College and Louisiana Christian College.

I asked him a few questions to get to know him better and this is what he had to say.

What made you want to play football?

“When I was four my dad took me to watch our rec football team play on Wednesdays, there I fell in love with football wanting to play as soon as I could.”

What is your favorite football memory?

”Definitely playing in and winning the state championship.”

What are some personal goals you have for the upcoming season?

”I wish to make all district first team, as well as the all state team.”

Who is someone you look up to and why?

”I look up to my dad, for even though he had to battle so much adversity growing up still he greatly matured to be able to provide for his family and help us live a comfortable life. He has and continues to teach me how to be a man and to always work hard and get what I deserve.”
