McNeese State Blows out Arkansas Tech

The McNeese State Cowboys came out big against the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys beating them 61 to 7. The Cowboys dominated the Wonder Boys on both sides of the ball outplaying them in both offense and defense. The Cowboys have been really impressive throughout their first two games but this blow out gave the Cowboys a chance to show how deep their bench is with talent. The Quarterbacks were abundant with five McNeese quarterbacks throwing to nine different receivers for 250 yards. Furthermore, for the Cowboys rushing game, seven running backs ran for 228 yards and five touchdowns. It was really cool to see how deep this McNeese State team is and how much potential they have moving forward. The Cowboys defense really stepped up their game, which should be no surprise for all the Cowboys fans. The Cowboys defense swarmed the Wonder Boys, limiting them to 93 total yards. The Wonder Boys did have 70 passing yards, but finished with only 23 yards rushing on 31 attempts. The Wonder Boys did not get past its own 40 until they recovered a fumble on the Cowboy 36 early in the third quarter. That turnover is what led to the Wonder Boys lone touchdown. The Cowboys continue to prove why they are a dominate team in the Southland Conference. Looking forward at the Cowboys schedule, I truly believe that the Cowboys have a great chance of finishing with only one loss on the whole season. It will be a difficult task but I believe the Cowboys will win the rest of their games. GO COWBOYS!!!
