Marvin Dixon is a 5’10”, 180 lb. DB out of Parkview Baptist HS with a 3.2 GPA. Dixon is a physical corner who doesn’t shy away from contact, totaling 47 total tackles in a strong junior-year campaign. His toughness forced him to shift to linebacker to fill a hole when the team was battling injuries. With a great showing at our camp back in February and a few more months left in the offseason to keep working on his craft, Dixon should be on your radar as he is primed for a big senior year, as he’s expected to lead the Parkview Baptist defense.
Q/A:
What has football taught you that you think will help you most in college?
How to create balance and prioritize different things. Obviously, making sure I can handle the responsibility that comes with playing college football while still being focused on school.
How does it feel knowing you are getting ready for your last year of high school football?
It’s sad because it’s been fun, but I am going to make sure I give it my all to make it the best senior year I can have.
What do you love most about football?
The bonds I’ve created with my teammates. I also just love making big plays and the rush that comes along with them.
What are you most excited about going into this season?
I am just excited to showcase my abilities and set myself up to attend a good school. My dream is to make it to the NFL.
Who would you say has had the biggest impact on you?
Definitely my mom; she has pushed me to become the player/person I am today. I go as hard as I can because she’s sacrificed so much for me.
What are your goals going into college?
I want to make sure I am prepared so I can be in a position to start day 1.
What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I just want to be remembered as a hard worker who never gives up, regardless of circumstances. I want to be known for coming through in the big moments.
