The Hutch Gonzales era started out with a bang this past Friday as the Live Oak Eagles shut out the Belaire Bengals by a final score of 42-0.
The Bengals could not get anything going against a stingy, tough Eagles defense that was consistently flying to the football. While the Eagles’ defense was getting it done so was its offense as quarterback Cayden Jones had a three-touchdown day. The Eagles’ sophomore quarterback threw touchdown passes to Kade Whitehead and his two tight ends Hayden Ray and Ben Moyer to help lead the way.
Live Oak will start the season at 1-0 and will play Dunham on Thursday while Belaire begins the season at 0-1 and will have their first home game of the season against Istrouma on Friday.
