While most were snuggled in their bed, the guys over at Louisiana College, LC, were out getting in reps. It was arguably the coldest day thus far this “winter.”
As I got a look at the first practice this spring I could quickly tell that the depth at LC is deep. Everyone was out there fighting for those first and second string reps. Just the first opportunity to shine and impress the coaches.
One of the biggest questions coming into this season is who is going to replace LC’s all time passing leader in Easton Melancon. After the first day of practice, all four QB’s are all competing for that too spot. I didn’t see just one that I would say was better rather that each of them are all strong contenders. They all showed up to practice in shape and looking like they haven’t missed a stride since the end of last season.
I look forward to watching all the competition this spring and see who shows up to fall camp ready to play.
