The Kings (2-3) have been playing as if every game is their last since the 28-8 loss to the Ti-Cats. Since that loss, the Kings have scored 117 points and have given up 0. Their defense has been nothing short of amazing, only allowing -70 of total offence in the combined two games.
With as good as the defense has been playing, the offense has been better. The past two weeks, #9 Corey Kennedy, has stepped up to play quarterback and has brought a lot of excitement to the offense. Last week, against the Louisiana Trojans, he had 379 yards passing 145 yards rushing, and 7 touchdowns. The offensive line played ferociously with OT Jonah Austin (6-7, 320) , OG John Gustavis (6-3, 300), and OT Nate Lee (6-4, 300) imposing their will onto the Trojans.
OLB Stewart Joseph lead the defense in Saturdays game with three sacks. Defensive Back Tee Charles had a pick six in the game. Other notable players DB Keywan Bullock and Jordan Batiste each had an interception while Lamont Simmons had a sack with a six yard loss.
Next week the Kings travel to Woodville, Miss to play the Brawlers then return home to Joe Brown park for the final two games of the regular season. #Hailkings
