Kieran Davis started his high school career at St. Edmund High School where he was a MaxPreps Freshman All-American and now, his football journey comes full circle as he returns back to his old high school to sign with East Carolina.

Kieran played two seasons at St. Edmund where he was primarily a running back for head coach James Shiver. His freshman season, Kieran immediately emerged on the scene as a runner with 120 carries for 781 yards and eight touchdowns. His junior season, Kieran moved to Georgia with his father former New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant to play at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. There, he moved to play at the position his dad played on the defensive line and there, he established himself as a DI prospect after having 77 tackles, 9 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries in 2021.

Rated as a three star prospect, Kieran chose East Carolina over 13 other DI programs.

“I just felt that ECU felt like home. I love the coaches over there. Coach Houston, Coach Daoust, Coach Harrell all showed me love and just wanted me. When I went to go visit, it was amazing. It was a perfect match.”

Kieran came back home to make the decision official and to celebrate it with his mom Lena Davis, who was a great athlete herself as an All-State basketball, volleyball, and softball player in high school as well as a former volleyball player at LSU. He also got to celebrate the announcement with his former head coach James Shiver.

Kieran will get the opportunity to play for Coach Shiver one final time at the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game in Orange Beach, Alabama on December 30th.

“I was very excited that I was invited to a bowl game and it’s even more exciting that I can play with my old coach for my final high school game!”
