Denham Springs High School 2025 QB Jerry Horne is one of the top senior quarterbacks not only in the Baton Rouge area, but in South Louisiana for the upcoming season. As a veteran quarterback for the Yellow Jackets, Horne has always shown his ability even at the start of his career. Playing at the 5A level, Horne even got some huge playing time in a playoff win as a freshman to start his prep career and even pushed current ULM quarterback Reese Mooney for the starting job as a sophomore.
After finally taking the full time job as a junior, Horne showed off his rocket arm, athleticism, and high football IQ to an All-District campaign throwing for 1,570 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing for three touchdowns on the ground. Heading into his senior season, Horne expects this to be the biggest season yet and to firmly show why he was so highly regarded by his coaches at the beginning of his career. As of now, he has received no offers, but has received interest from schools such as South Alabama, McNeese, Southeastern, Nicholls, ULL, Stanford, and others. With his on the field talents and also a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, Jerry Horne is certainly a steal at the next level.
Jerry Horne is also the first quarterback to play in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game on Monday, December 30th!
