Game 3: McKinley v Woodlawn-Shreveport

Another week, another football game. With the weather finally subsiding in the Baton Rouge area, the McKinley Panthers were able to get a full week of practice out on their own field. The team is looking to bounce back in this matchup after a somber loss to Southern Lab last week. Against Southern Lab, the Panther defense could not stop Southern Lab’s passing attack. This week, the team matches up with Woodlawn-Shreveport.

Woodlawn-Shreveport is a team that McKinley is not too familiar with. They are coming off a 48-0 blowout win against North Central and looking to keep their momentum rolling against McKinley. Head Coach Malcolm Reed spoke about how the Panthers are looking to reduce some of their mistakes from last game and get a win this week, on this week’s Coaches Corner.

Weekly standouts: Senior wideout and cornerback Andre Knighton had a 73 yard touchdown catch this past week against Southern Lab. He has shown his leadership skills pushing his teammates to be better in practice.
