We have Junior Samuel Coleman out of St. Martinville. A 5’11 273lbs offensive guard with a 3.4 GPA, Samuel squats 505 and benches 315. Samuel received an invite to our All American Bowl Game this winter. Samuel placed in the Literary rally this year, He went to the state science fair and he was also a honorable mention for district team his sophomore and junior year. What has football taught you that you think will help you most in college life?
Football has taught me the most about discipline. Waking up early even if I don’t want to, keeping myself in check, etc. i feel like thats would help most in college
How does it feel knowing that your last season wearing your high school jersey is coming up?
It really is getting to me about this being my last season, especially in my jersey. I love the number 56. I’ve bled in it, cried in it, and it means a lot to me. I’m not ready to let it go.
Who pushed you the most to become the player (and person) you are today?
The person who pushed me to be the player I am today is probably Ashton Joseph. He was a senior my freshman year and he taught me almost anything I know. He was one of my best friends and he was an absolute beast in his position. He pushed me, and honestly made me who I am today.
How do you stay motivated when practices or games get tough?
I always think of my Dad whenever things get tough. It always helps me push through.
What snack or meal do you destroy after games?
Can’t stress enough after every game I go to McDonalds and get a double qrt pounder and 2 apple pies
