Introducing Kerrick Gaines, the 5’10 175 pound DB out of Alexandria. He is going into his senior year of high school boasting an impressive 3.8 GPA. Kerrick is the ideal hard-hitting safety with blazing downhill speed from his time running the 400 meter in track & field. This speed helps him chase down any player all the way from the backfield to the sideline. Alongside this Kerrick knows how to bring the boom with his self-admitted love for big hits. Kerrick has helped Alexandria Senior High to a strong 3-0 start recording 10 total tackles and even an 87 yard punt return.

What got you into football?
My dad, just one day he said “let’s go to the field” gave me pads and a helmet and I started playing football from there.
How’d you end up choosing your position?
Based off watching my brothers play. I always watched them play and they where always at DB so I fell in love with what they did.
Who’s your favorite football player?
Desean Jackson because of his speed and Sean Taylor for all the big hits.
Who would your dream teammate be?
I would say Micah Parsons because of the way he plays and the mentality that he has.
What is your strongest attribute on the football field?
I would say making tackles and really hitting somebody.
What about you differentiates you from the rest?
I would say my work ethic. I work hard with everything always giving 100%.
