Here’s my interview with Emmanuel Hanney below!
What got you into football?
I’ve always loved football, growing up I used to always liked playing football at school with my friends
What play or moment made you pick your position?
I was always the fastest kid at the school so when we would play football at recess I would normally line up at running back and just take the ball and run.
Was there a player you tried to emulate?
Back then I used to love watching Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliot so I always wanted to be like them.
What was it about their game?
Just the way they made everything look so effortless. The way they move through the line, and made people miss, it would look flawless.
Who do you think you play most similar to?
I think I play mostly like Alvin Kamara, I feel like my vision matches his a lot.
What’s your strongest strength on the football field?
Probably my speed, I mean once I get in the open field there’s no way you’re catching me.
What differentiates you from the rest?
I feel it’s my determination to win. I have that mindset that when we walk in this building we’re going to leave out with a dub. And I feel like I carry my teammates along with me.
Favorite football move to hit someone with?
I think my favorite move is a spin move, I’ve been doing the spin move for a while even since I was a freshman and I’ve had a lot of success with it.
Who’s your favorite player and why?
He played on the Saints and for a while I picked my number 25 because of him. Mainly his playstyle and how he carried the Saints back then.
Dream college?
I would probably want to go to Ohio State, just cause them and developing running backs, it’s a very good program.
Favorite part about football?
I feel like scoring touchdowns and being able to celebrate with my boys.
Most underrated part about football?
The work it takes to be good at football.
What’s your biggest motivator?
My family, and taking the burden off of them for having to pay for college.
