DITR: Ellis Mckneely Jr.

Ellis Mckneely Jr. is a class of 2022 defensive end for Woodlawn High School. He is 6’2 and weighs 245 pounds. He benches 365 pounds and squats 500 pounds. His maintains a 3.5 GPA and received the Head Coach’s Award. During the regular season, Ellis had 1 sack, 8 tackles for loss, and flushed the quarterback out of the pocket 12 times. He also had 6 hurries and multiple assist tackles. He is a quick player who knows how to rush to the backfield. He said that his pawpaw motivated him and the last thing he told Ellis was to give his all in sports and his education.

I’m from Baton Rouge. I like to work out and ride four wheelers and horses in my free time.

How did you start playing football?

I signed up for little league at 7 years old.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned from football?

Teamwork.

Playing college football.
