Diamond in The Rough: Taije Ceasar

Taije Ceasar is a class of 2022 RB for DeQuincy Highschool in DeQuincy, LA. He is 5’11, weighs 197, and sports a 3.7 GPA. Taije is a patient running back with great hands. He has excellent field vision and times his moves perfectly to create more space. It’s not very easy to take him down, and it seems like every time he touches the ball, he gets a gain of 5 yards minimum. Taije is a great athlete, he can also play receiver, and outside of football, he also plays basketball as well.

How long have you been playing football? All my life.

Do you play any other sports? I play basketball and I plan on playing baseball.

Can you play any other positions? Besides RB and WR, I am going to play corner.

What position do you see yourself playing at the next level? Running back and a little bit of slot.

Is there a player you can compare yourself to? Zeke and Saquan.

Do you have a signature move? I would say my Stiff arm and I’ll probably juke you.

What kind of running back would you consider yourself? A pass catching back.

What are you doing to get better? Working on my speed, working out, and getting my cardio up.

What would you consider your biggest strength? Catching.

What stands out about the way you play? My leadership because I’m always picking up my players making sure their heads aren’t down and I get everyone going in the game.

What goes through your mind pre snap? What I’m going to do the upcoming play.

Do you have any goals for this upcoming season? A Championship.

What do you enjoy the most about playing running back? You see everything, before the play starts you can identify and see what you want to do.

What made you choose to play RB? I grew up playing RB, so I stuck with it.

Why should colleges give you a chance? Because I’m the guy, if they call my name and give me an opportunity to make a play, I’ll do that and do it with 100% effort.

How would your coaches and teammates describe you? I’m a caring player and respectful teammate.
