Diamond in the Rough: Koby Bimah

Koby Bimah is one of the spark players at Wide Receiver for Assumption High School. With a frame of 5’6, 160, Koby Bimah goes out and proves every week that size doesn’t matter.He has a 3.29 GPA and all of the traits of a really good receiver. In his last game, Koby had 6 receptions for 126 yards in a win against Morgan City. He looks to continue his dominance and consistency in his next game tonight, against A.J. Ellender!

When did you start playing football?

“I started playing football when I was 5 years old.”

What made you start playing?

“I think what made me start playing was that I was a big competitor and I loved competing.”

What do you love about football?

“Some things I love about football are the brotherhood that you can have and build from and just being out there on the field, there’s no better feeling. I just have so much love for the game I can’t even describe.”

What player, NFL or College did you model your game after?

“I’d say I modeled my game after three people: Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, and Jamarr Chase.”

What would your teammates say about you?

“I think my teammates would say that I am very humble and very emotional, also very hard on myself.”

What is your motivation?

“My motivation is to do what my dream was and that is to play college football and make my parents proud. Also to prove to everyone that I am capable of playing college football and making a name for myself.”

What parts of your game are you working on right now?

“Some parts of my game I’m working on right now are punt and kick return, also being physical with or without the ball in my hands.”

What is your goal for this season?

“My goal for this season is to make it the playoffs and win state. Also just leave it all out there on the field.”

What game or moment in the game has been your favorite up to this point?

“My favorite moment so far this season was watching 2 of my teammates get their 1st and 2nd touchdown. I was so happy for them and it meant so much to me because I love seeing my teammates, especially the ones I’m close with, like them.”

What do you do on your free time outside of school?

“Some things I do on my free time out of school is play video games,I eat a lot, and I like to spend time with my family.”

What is one thing that you think college coaches and recruiters should know about you?

“One thing college coaches and recruiters should know about me is that I’m very coach-able and I want what’s best for the team whatever that requires me to do.”

What do you think your best trait is?

“I think my best trait is when I get the ball in my hands I feel like I’m dangerous and a threat. I also feel like my route running stands out and really shows how much work I put into it.”
