When did you start playing football & what made you start playing?

“I started playing and taking football serious my Sophmore year. My friends convinced me to give it a shot, even though I believed I was a basketball player, but I’m glad I did give it a shot.”

What do you love about football?

“I feel like you cant hate it. I think its great playing it, but the memories it makes, bringing family and friends together to have a good time, it’s nothing like it!”

What player, NFL or College did you model your game after?

“I would say Jalen Milroe, people tell me I’m a big QB all the time, but his mentality is what really made me look up to him. Earlier in his career, people thought he couldn’t throw good enough or he wasn’t the typical QB prototype, but he just went out and played and is one of the best in College Football.”

What would your teammates say about you?

I think they would tell you that I’m not as much of a vocal leader as you think, I lead more by example. I feel like if I work hard, they work hard. If I do right, they do right. If I do wrong, they do wrong, so I try to do the right thing as often as possible.”

What is your motivation?

“My motivation is my sister, she has a sickness that puts her in the hospital at least every month. She hasn’t given up and she hasn’t stopped trying to get better. A lot of people quit when it gets hard, but she hasn’t been one of them.”

What parts of your game are you working on right now?

“I’m working on being better overall. I’m trying to get colleges to see that if they need a Quarterback, I can be that.If they want a WR, I can catch the ball and run good routes. I can cover somebody and I can tackle as well. Part of my recruitment that’s holding me back is that colleges want me for positions that I haven’t gotten a chance to play and showcase in a game.”

What is your goal for this season?

“My goal is to win a district and state championship. I want to do something that nobody in Bunkie’s history has ever done. All-state, all-district, all-cen-la is cool. I love being somebody that can put on for the state, but I feel like it doesn’t mean as much if you cant win a championship.”

What game or moment in the game has been your favorite up to this point?

“Jena game last year was my favorite game yet. The environment was crazy, people all around the track, and the stands full. There were people tailgating before we could get out of school. Our community came out to support!”

What do you do on your free time outside of school?

“I like to play music on my free time. Gutair, piano, drums, all that type of stuff. I grew up in church doing those things, so its in my blood.”

What is one thing that you think college coaches and recruiters should know about you?

“I think college recruits and coaches should know that I want to play. It doesn’t matter where I play or how, I just need a chance. A lot of people want the NIL, the fame, walk around school with a ego like they’re too good, I just want to play. If you can compete and play at a level your supposed to, everything you want and more will come with it, but I just want to play.”

What do you think your best trait is?

“I think my best trait is my faith in God. He is the head of my life and nothing would be possible without him. He is everything and gives everything. Without him, I would be nothing. Having him with me is my best trait.”
