Louisiana College receiver Shedrick Davis (Baton Rouge, LA/Central HS) earned recognition by D3football.com for his performance on the field in Saturday’s 58-28 victory over Texas Lutheran. He was selected to the national Team of the Week for games played between September 16th and 17th.
Davis was a big paly threat in the win over Texas Luthern catching eight passes for 170 yards, including two touchdowns of more than 40 yards each. His touchdown scores came in the 1st quarter on a 60-yard catch and run to put teh Wildcats on top 9-7, and again in the 4th quarter on a 42-yard pass that extended LC’s lead to 51-21.
The junior is currently thrid in the ASC in receiving yards with 360, and second in total receptions with 22. He is averaging through the first three game of this season, 7.3 catches for 120.0 yards per game.
