D.I.T.R: Ryan Ventura

Ryan Ventura is a 5’9 185 pound player entering his Senior season at Keller High School. He is a multi-sport athlete that plays both football and baseball for the school. In the classroom, he’s a great example of a student athlete with having a 3.8 GPA. His tape is eye popping with the amount of plays he makes on the football field. A ball hawking safety that flies all over the football field making plays for the defense. His play style is almost like a Tyrann Mathieu, he can disrupt any play on the field and isn’t afraid to lower the shoulder on anyone. On top of that, he had a big role in the special teams game and also made some plays at running back. #7 is ready for another big breakout season to stamp his name at the next level.

Here is my interview with Ryan.

When did you start playing football?

I started playing tackle football in 7th grade.

What are some hobbies you like to do outside of school?

I like to play any type of sport, hang with my friends, and go to the lake.

Have you played other sports outside of football?

I play baseball at Keller.

What was it playing for Keller this past year?

It was fun.. We had a tight group that played well together.

Is there a NCAA/NFL player that you would compare yourself to?

Guys like Sean Taylor who hit hard.

What skills do you have that sets yourself from the others?

I have the mentality of wanting hit someone hard every play.

Do you have a favorite football moment in your young career?

During a game, I blocked a punt and took it back for a touchdown.

What are your senior goals while at Keller?

Definitely to win the district.

How do you succeed as a teammate?

I want to help the others around me. I push them to play hard.

What are future colleges getting out of you?

Hard worker.. A utility player that will play anywhere.

How can you improve your game over the next year?

Work on some drills that improve speed, change of direction, and other things of the nature.
