Southside High School (Youngsville, LA) linebacker Corey Ledet Jr. has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, December 30th. As a three year starter for the Sharks, Ledet has been part of the building stages of the rising program in the Acadiana area. At 5’10, 225 pounds with 4.8/40 speed, Ledet proved to be the heart and soul in the middle of the aggressive Sharks defense. The tenacious defender models his game after Los Angeles Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
“I model myself after Aaron Donald. He plays bigger than what he actually is, and he leads an example that you don’t have to be the biggest player to be one of the best. He has that dawg in him, and I try to follow in his footsteps.”

The All-District defender has showed the ability to play multiple positions for the Sharks as he can not only play inside linebacker, but he also can rush off the edge. In his senior season, he finished with over 80 tackles, two forced fumbles, and even an interception. Currently, Ledet has received college interest from Tennessee Valley, Roseville Athletic Academy, John Melvin, Christian Community College, Goodyear University, Clarke University, and Memphis Prep. In his last high school football game, Ledet wants to add more of those schools to the list when he suits up to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.
