BREAKING NEWS: Comeaux High School (Lafayette, La.) QB Colin Leger has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl

Comeaux High School (Lafayette, La.) quarterback Colin Leger has committed to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl.

“It means a lot to me to have one last chance to play and be coached by some of my former coaches. I also get to have one last farewell before I go play college ball. I am honored for the opportunity and I plan to make the best of it while I’m there with these coaches and the opportunity to pick their brains about the things they’ve seen and been apart of. I’m very grateful to be a selection this year.”

As a junior I had 1,500 passing yards and 250 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in seven games. He missed most of last season due to a shoulder surgery, so this game will give him the chance to show college scouts his game.

Leger holds collegiate offers from NAIA schools Lyon College and Culver-Stockton College as well as a junior college offer from Mesabi Range College in Minnesota.

A current player Leger likes to mold his game from is current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“I like to model my game after Aaron Rodgers because I’d do anything to get back for my team like he is doing this season.”

An interesting fact about Leger the field is his love of trucks especially his own.
