Greyson Dupre of Archbishop Hannan High School has firmly established himself as one of the most productive linebackers in the state of Louisiana. Standing 6’0 weighing 200 pounds, Dupre finished the season 7th in the state in total tackles, a testament to his instincts, effort, and relentless pursuit of the football. His ability to consistently find the ball and finish plays makes him a cornerstone of the Hannan defense and a player with clear college level potential.

Dupre’s game is built on pursuit and awareness. From the moment the ball is snapped, he diagnoses plays quickly and takes efficient angles to the football. He plays fast downhill against the run and shows excellent range sideline to sideline, allowing him to be involved in plays well outside his initial alignment. His motor never slows, and many of his tackles come from chasing plays down from the backside or cleaning up runs that appear to be breaking free.

What separates Dupre statistically and on film is his consistency. He was rarely off the field and was almost always in on the tackle when plays developed near the line of scrimmage or into the second level. Finishing among the state leaders in total tackles requires durability, discipline, and trust from the coaching staff, all of which Dupre has earned. He tackles well in space, keeps his balance through contact, and shows strong fundamentals when wrapping up ball carriers.

Dupre also brings physicality to the linebacker position. He does not shy away from contact and consistently meets ball carriers with force. His ability to shed blocks and fight through traffic allows him to stay clean and make plays between the tackles. He plays with confidence and toughness, traits that set the tone for the rest of the defense.

Beyond his production, Dupre shows the traits college coaches look for in a linebacker. He communicates well, plays with urgency, and understands his responsibilities within the defensive scheme. His football instincts and effort level allow him to maximize his physical tools and consistently outperform expectations.

Greyson is a player who Gridiron Football has had an eye on for awhile now. He is a reliable, instinctive linebacker whose pursuit and physical play translate well to the next level. With his proven production, frame, and mindset, Dupre projects as a strong college prospect who brings immediate value as a dependable defensive presence and tone setter.

When asked about the opportunity to play one more time in 2025, Greyson responded with:

It is just awesome. Just another blessing to get to play, and glad somebody is seeing what i am doing on and off they field.
