Boosted By Return of Two Central Stars, Wildcats Defeat Denham Springs 31-6

The Central Wildcats welcomed back two of their star offensive players in Jackson Firmin and Kylen Thomas for their rivalry game against the Denham Springs Yellow Jackets after both players were involved in a car accident that sidelined them. They came back and showed no rust as the quarterback wide receiver duo connected for a 49 yard touchdown.

Firmin, who is a Nicholls State commit, completed 15 of 33 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns in the first half to a 24-0 halftime lead. The other touchdown passes went to Keithon Womack and Tyrann Williams. The final touchdown was an interception return for a touchdown by Blaysen Stoken to make it 31-0.

Denham Springs QB Jerry Horne was able to throw a touchdown pass to Cadyn Lewis to get on the board, but it was too little, too late with the Wildcats improving their record to 2-0 on the year. The Yellow Jackets fall to 1-1 on the young season.

This upcoming week, the Central Wildcats will have a big undefeated matchup against the Walker Wildcats. The Denham Springs Yellow Jackets will look to get back on track against the Woodlawn Panthers.
